Congressman Patrick Meehan (R-Pa.) today issued the following statement regarding yesterday's events in Charlottesville, Va.:

"I'm shocked and outraged by yesterday's events in Charlottesville," Meehan said. "The hateful bigotry of white supremacy and the violence and acts of terror that accompanied it yesterday have no place in American political discourse and should be condemned by all."
